Long Island Country Singer Lisa Matassa on Newsday.com

Video journalist TC McCarthy from Newsday came down to Cove City Sound Studios, on Long Island today to interview me for a Newsday.com feature segment. TC shot an incredible piece with me and my producer Bobby “Guy” Graziose doing some recording and re-mixing for my song “Kiss Me Quiet,” which will be on my new EP, Me Time. During the Newsday interview I was asked about creating my own sub-genre of music called Long Island Country. After playing back some tracks in the studio for the Newsday reporter I think I made him a country fan!! Long Island Country music is poised to take over the New York music scene :)!

Thanks TC for the great Newsday interview and video segment!

On The Cover of My Hometown Paper

Cover of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Herald for Anton News

So excited to see my first published interview since my days as “Lysa Lynn.” It feels good to start sharing my Long Island Country sound with the press. This combination of rock n’ roll and country music feels so authentic for me. I spoke with Karen Gellender who is the editor of the Plainview Old Bethpage Herald and the Syosset Jericho Tribune, for Anton Community Newspapers. We spoke about my soon-to-be released EP, Me Time. It’s fun to be the cover story of my hometown newspaper.

I truly appreciate everyone’s support as I embark on this exciting new chapter in my music career. Much love and happiness to everyone in the New Year!! : )
